Euro alert: I just got our credit card bill for our Paris/London trip last month and quelle surprise, the charge for charging our meal in Paris, not quite $70.00 was $1.60, my husband thought the rate good for us at AmerEX so don't fret too much about using your card, just check before you leave what their charge will be, the rate goes up....and down.
Also remember, by law the tip is already on the bill! The waiter will try to tell you otherwise don't fall for that, but leave another 3-5% if service was good.
Try a picnic dinner next to the Seine along the quay to meet parisians, they'll share wine and goodies with you but do not go home with them!
